Happy Thanksgiving from RFD Local 1614.

This year, we were able to donate over 20 Thanksgiving meals back to our community to families that needed a little extra assistance this holiday season. We are very proud of this program that we have been able to continue for the past 7 years. A special thank you to FF K. Payton and probationary FF E. Payton for their efforts in running this program this year. From our family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving.

TODAY is Election Day!

Please help us support the "Municipal Facilities Bond Proposal" on today's November 7th ballot.

Voting YES to support this bond proposal will allow our city to fund critical repairs and upgrades desperately needed at many of your city buildings. Both Roseville Fire Stations are in need of serious repairs and upgrades. Station 1 located at Common Road, needs a new roof, and many interior upgrades that are long overdue. Station 2 needs foundation repairs to prevent the building from sinking. We have large cracks forming on the interior walls of our station due to the southern part of our station sinking into the ground.

This bond will not only benefit us at the fire department, but also complete many repairs needed across multiple city buildings including the Department of Public Works building, Court building, Library, and park improvements including a Splash Pad for our citizens.

If approved, this bond will replace the current Chapter 20 millage on your taxes. The Chapter 20 millage was 1.00 mills per $1,000 of taxable value per year. The new "Municipal Facilities Bond Proposal" will average 0.744 mills per $1,000 of taxable value per year. This means that if approved, our citizens will see a reduction in taxes and we will be able to provide these critical repairs and upgrades to your city buildings so they can continue to provide service to our citizens for many more years.

Please help us in supporting this bond proposal by voting YES!

This year, our focus is on 🍳 cooking safety 🍳, the leading cause of home fires.

Let's work together to keep our homes and loved ones safe! ❀️ Share these kitchen fire prevention tips:

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ³ Never leave the stove unattended while cooking.
🧯 Keep a fire extinguisher nearby.
πŸ‘Ά Maintain a β€œkid-free zone” of at least 3 feet (1 meter) around the stove.
☎️ If the fire is spreading and you can’t control it, get everyone out of the house and call 911.
