At approximately 4:25 p.m. this afternoon, the Roslyn Fire companies were dispatched to an unknown type fire at the intersection of Glen Cove Road and Old Westbury Road in East Hills. RRFD Chief Brennan (5600) arrived on scene and confirmed a van fire. Engine 566 arrived shortly afterward and stretched a handline to extinguish the fire, with assistance from Engine 567 and Engine 591.

At approximately 5:37 pm, the Roslyn Fire Companies responded to a reported car fire on Bryant Ave in Roslyn Harbor. Chief 5601 (Kern) quickly arrived on scene confirming the car fire. Engine 566 arrived and stretched a hand line extinguishing the fire with the assistance of E-567, E-591 & E-592. RoslynHarbor

Today Roslyn Rescue attended a ceremony to recognize the efforts of two of our members Chief Kern and Fire Captain McCormack. Their heroism led to the saving of an individual trapped in a house fire in Roslyn Heights on 6/20/2026. Thanks to TONH and Town Supervisor DeSena for the recognition.

At approximately 2220 this evening the Roslyn Fire Companies were dispatched to a Motor Vehicle Accident with Extrication. Chiefs 5901 and 5601 arrived first on scene and confirmed one person trapped in the vehicle. Heavy Rescue 562 and Ambulance 5611 arrived on scene and the crew of 562 began extricating the patient, upon patient removal, care was transferred to NCPD Ambulance 2356.

On Friday, April 10th at approximately 5:47 PM, Tower Ladder 565 was dispatched to the Glenwood Fire Company as the F.A.S.T. truck for a working detached garage fire in Old Brookville.

Thanks to the swift response and coordinated efforts of the Glenwood Fire Company and mutual aid departments, the fire was quickly brought under control and successfully contained to the garage, preventing further extension.

Early this morning, Tower Ladder 565 responded on mutual aid to the Glenwood Fire Company for a 4th alarm building fire on Cedar Swamp Rd in Glen Head.

Alongside numerous departments, crews worked tirelessly under challenging conditions to bring the fire under control. After several hours of coordinated efforts, the blaze was successfully contained.

Strong work by all companies on scene.
