I notice that people are still clicking "like" on this page, in spite of the posts indicating that Kaw Valley Limousin is no more. We have retired, moved away from Kansas, and some of our Limousin cows are in a partnership with Egg Bar Limousin of Berryton, KS. I left the page up because of the photos and albums here. If you are on this page search for quality Limousin genetics, please contact Alan Eggenberger at Egg Bar. He has a wonderful herd and produces great cattle. Thanks to everyone for their past interest in our cattle; we enjoyed the experience very much and it will remain a big cherished part of our lives.

The former cattle trailer of Kaw Valley Limousin, went to Indiana on Friday full of all Jim's shop tools and equipment. Parked at the construction site, it awaits completion of the shop/studio building before unloading. Both trailers and cow guys get different jobs in retirement.

Kaw Valley Limousin is now a part of history. The last of the registered females left this morning; ten fall bred cows going to Double O Limousin of Smithville, Missouri. Doug and Heidi Orton of Smithville now have 19 KVLF females and there are 35 KVLF females in the partnership with Alan and Desi at Eggbar Limousin of Berryton, KS. It has been an interesting and rewarding part of my life. Seems like just yesterday (1987) when Ed Slusher's trailer pulled in the driveway with 5 weaned heifer calves. Little did I know the adventure that was beginning. Now, it's on to more retirement adventures in Indiana. Thanks and best wishes to all the friends I've made along the way; Limousin folks are the best!
