Sending a big, "thank you!" to the Youth Challenge Academy for the work they did cleaning up at Cahoon Park, and along the wide public area near fences of the cemetery and fairgrounds by South Main Street. They picked up a little over 280 lbs. of trash! What a big help this is. Cleanup not only cleaning an area for the moment, but also encourage others to keep it clean. Studies show clean areas get less litter thrown there!

This group is just one of the 12 youth groups who have participated in the KRB Empowering Youth Cleanup Fundraiser program, funded by the New Mexico Tourism Department "Clean and Beautiful" grant. This program has enough funds left to pay 2 more youth groups for a cleanup!
