Jessica Noeth is actually a second generation Habitat homeowner. Her mom, Kathy (on the far right), earned her Habitat home back in 2012.

In reflecting on her experience, Kathy shared, "During our construction period, we had so much fun. We praised the Lord and worked hard. The Habitat crew was the best group of people you could work with."

Kathy's build kicked off on September 8, 2012, and was dedicated on December 12, 2012.

"That was an amazing day. The volunteers, my family, and friends were all there to celebrate. And Habitat surprised our family with our first real Christmas tree!"

We have been building in Forsyth county since 2012, and Kathy's was one of the first homes we completed. Now, 14 years later, her daughter will live in her own Habitat home less than a mile from the one she grew up in. ❤️

Another double dedication in the books! Friday marked the completion of two more homes in our Gainesville neighborhood! It was also a wonderful reminder of the power of community, and our deepest gratitude goes out to Capital City Home Loans, the Sunset Quilters Guild, all of our volunteers and sponsors for making this moment possible.

HUGE thanks to the Travelers interns and MarketSource, Inc. team for helping us complete painting and siding on our two home builds! You all did marvelous work.

Travelers has now worked with us on 4 homes and MarketSource on 10 in our Pinewood Heights neighborhood. We are honored to build homes, communities, and hope with these teams.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

In honor of this special occasion, we also want to celebrate the past closing for the Elhammani family on their new home in Canton, GA!🏡🔑

We are especially grateful for Mohammed, an Army Veteran, whose service reflects the sacrifice and dedication we honor today. It is a privilege to stand alongside families like yours as you build a foundation for the future.

And we would be remiss to not mention the incredible community of volunteers, donors, partners, and supporters who played a role in making this dream a reality. Thank you for helping families build strength, stability, and self-reliance through homeownership. 💙

Nohemi's build is officially underway!

For Nohemi, owning a home means creating a safe, healthy, and stable environment where her family can continue to heal and thrive.

Nohemi has been through many life struggles, including helping her daughter through her battle with cancer. Throughout her life, people have doubted and underestimated Nohemi, but she is a tough woman who is willing to work hard for the things she desires in life.

She lives by the verse, "For where your treasure is, there will be your heart also." (Luke 12:34)

We are so proud of this family for starting their journey to homeownership. We look forward to partnering with them and getting them into a new, safe, and affordable home!
