☆☆☆ "Levee" overflowed, not broke ☆☆☆

First information provided was that the berm / levee west of town had breached / broke in 2 areas (see provided picture from fly-over inspection on Sunday). At that time, it was advised that the Levee had "broke" in 2 areas.

However, after the water has receeded & upon closer inspection, we are now being informed that there was no break, but had "overflowed". See statement below

Statement from Brian Houghtalin, Superintendent of the Chaves County Flood Commission.
--------------

We want to provide an important update on the recent flooding affecting southern Roswell and the base area. Here's what you need to know:

> Flood Control Berm West of the Base: After further inspection and the receding of floodwaters, we can confirm that the flood control berm west of the airport did not breach. Instead, it was overtopped due to runoff from Saturday's thunderstorm.

> Current Condition: The berm sustained heavy damage and erosion but remains intact and functional. All remaining water in the reservoir area from Saturday's storm is now being safely directed down the Hondo River.

> Ongoing Monitoring: We are closely monitoring the situation and addressing any damage as site conditions permit, ensuring the berm continues to function properly.
