"The impact was immediate."

Through trauma-informed training grounded in Christ’s love and compassion, teachers shared how the experience equipped them to better understand, support, and encourage children facing difficult circumstances, reflecting the hope, care, and healing of Jesus both in the classroom and beyond.

As schools reopen, our teachers joined educators from for a collaborative trauma-informed workshop focused on creating safe, supportive classrooms for children coming from difficult home and community environments.

Together, they learned how to better recognize signs of trauma, cultivate environments where children feel safe and seen.

We are grateful for opportunities to learn alongside others who share that same mission.

Today on International Nurses Day, we celebrate and thank Nurse Becky and Natasha for the care, compassion, and dedication they show to the children and families at Wiphan each day.

Nurse Becky has faithfully served in the ministry since 2012, and Natasha joined the ministry last year. Together, they help make healthcare possible for the children in our care, offering comfort, treatment, and support during sickness and need.

Thank you for all you do to help children feel cared for, safe, and seen.

Two journeys. One foundation.

Agness and Tisa began their stories at Wiphan as young girls, with potential, resilience, and a community that believed in them.

Today, they are graduates of Mechanics for Africa, carrying with them not just certificates, but skills, determination, and vision for what’s next.

Agness is already putting her entrepreneurial skills into action, running a small clothing business and dreaming of giving back to younger students in need.

Tisa is pursuing her next step by applying for jobs, supporting her family, and holding onto her goal of becoming a nurse.

“I am very grateful to the sponsors and partners of Wiphan… May God continue to bless you.” – Agness

This is what long-term investment looks like. Not just education, but transformation, resilience, and hope that continues beyond the classroom.

From safehome to graduation! Albert’s story is what long-term investment makes possible.

Since 2017, Albert has been supported through Wiphan, walking the full journey from Grade 7 to completing his studies. He has just graduated from Mechanics for Africa with training in Automotive Engineering.

Now, equipped with his training and the tools to begin working, he is prepared to support himself and contribute to his family.

This is what child sponsorship does.

After growing up in Wiphan’s program, Jane has reached a pivotal moment.

She lives in Ndola, Zambia with her parents and five siblings. In a busy household, she has learned responsibility, creativity, and the value of contributing where she can.

This is the environment that has shaped who she is today.

From a young age, Jane has shown a natural creativity. She enjoys decorating for events and bringing beauty into everyday spaces.

Now, she has the opportunity to pursue training in cosmetology—a skill that can lead to sustainable income and long-term independence.

For Jane, this step is about more than a career, it’s about creating opportunities for others, serving her community, and building something of her own.

She dreams of opening a salon one day, a place not only for beauty services, but for teaching practical skills like hair and nail care to others in her community.

She is ready to move forward. She just needs someone willing to walk alongside her as she takes that step.

Would you consider being that person?

After 18 years in Wiphan’s program, Emmanuel has reached a pivotal moment.

He lives in a household of 15 with his grandparents, siblings, cousins, and extended family. There are 10 children in the home, many without stable parental support. The family relies on small-scale farming, and some days, one meal is all they have.

This is the reality Emmanuel is stepping out of.

Now, he has the opportunity to pursue training in heavy machine operations, a skill that can lead to stable, reliable work.

For Emmanuel, this step is about more than a job, it’s about helping cover school fees for his siblings, supporting basic needs at home, and creating a different future for his family.

Beyond that, he dreams of becoming a civil engineer.

He is ready to move forward. He just needs someone willing to walk with him as he grows into independence.

Hope is not distant. It is living and active.

Through Wiphan Care Ministries, the Gospel is reaching 107 staff members, 640 children, and 30 widows, shaping lives through Scripture, prayer, and discipleship.

From weekly chapel and CBSI Bible study to discipleship across all ages, students are not only learning about Christ, they are learning to follow Him.

This is what hope in action looks like.

"While we were still sinners,
Christ died for us."
-Romans 5:8

This Easter, we remember a love that was never earned.

We are thankful for Jesus and His love,
a love that changes everything!
