On May 27, the City of Roswell officially opened its new E-911 Emergency Communications Center, a milestone years in the making and a generational investment in the safety of our community!

Funded through the voter-approved 2022 Public Safety Bond Program, the new center brings next-generation emergency communications technology, expanded dispatch capacity, backup power systems, and enhanced resiliency to support emergency response across the community.

Watch the recap above to hear from Mayor Mary Robichaux, Police Chief James Conroy, Fire Chief Pabel Troche, and E-911 Communications Director John Potrzebowski on what this facility means for the people who serve our community every day.

Thank you to every resident who supported the 2022 Public Safety Bond Program, and to the teams who made this vision a reality!

This week in Washington, D.C., we stood shoulder-to-shoulder with thousands of police officers from across the country, honoring those who died in the line of duty in 2025, as well as all those who came before them.

But perhaps the most profound moments were the quiet ones, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the Labonte family to remember our own.

Officer Jeremy Labonte, #853 πŸ’™

The Roswell Crime Center: Turning hours into minutes, when seconds count.

Earlier this week, we took a report of a missing elderly man with dementia. Officers saturated the primary search area near his home where he was last seen more than an hour prior.

At the same time, other officers began pulling up the technology and camera resources of our Roswell Crime Center (RoCC). Within minutes, we found him walking on the cameras and had new, updated information about his path of travel. Just a few minutes more, and we safely located him at a gas station in Sandy Springs, nearly 3 miles outside the original search area.

These RoCC resources help us solve cases faster when time matters most. An investigation that could have taken hours or days was solved in minutes, meaning a safe return and a family reunited.
