The Super Nova has officially been passed from Ms. Mendoza to Mrs. Sbigoli!

✨ Mrs. Sbigoli has been at Avon for 3 years! Her patience, positivity, and dedication makes a huge impact at Avon every day. She goes above and beyond for her students and colleagues, always creating a supportive and engaging environment. It’s no surprise her students love her! Congratulations to our newest Super Nova, Mrs. Sbigoli! 🌟

The Super Nova Award will be on Summer Break, but will return in August to continue spotlighting all of Avon's incredible staff!

Mrs. Pinkus has proudly awarded the Super Nova Award to Ms. Mendoza, one of our phenomenal resource teacher! This is Ms. Mendoza's first year at Avon and she stepped into her role with confidence, compassion, and dedication from day one. Ms. Mendoza works tirelessly to meet the needs of her students through engaging, personalized learning experiences that help every child feel successful.

Ms. Mendoza is also an incredible support to both students and staff, always willing to collaborate and help wherever needed. Her positive attitude and caring nature shine through in everything she does. One student recently shared, “I appreciate Ms. Mendoza because she helps me learn math easier,” which perfectly captures the impact she has already made. We are so lucky to have Ms. Mendoza on our Nova Team!

Mrs. Pinkus has been at Avon for 3 years. She brings positivity and warmth wherever she goes, creating an environment where students and staff feel welcomed, valued, and genuinely cared for. She builds strong, meaningful relationships with her students, who clearly adore her in return. She is deeply committed to each student’s growth and development, consistently advocating for their needs and success.

Her dedication, patience, and genuine compassion make a lasting impact on everyone she works with. Mrs. Pinkus is also an outstanding teammate—collaborative, supportive, and always willing to lend a hand.
