It's already back to school time at Avon Township . 🎒

Meet two of the newest faces at Avon Township! Through the Lake County Workforce Program, we're excited to welcome our newest teen interns PJ and Jason! They've jumped right in, helping us prepare for one of our biggest events of the summer, our Back-to-School Giveaway on July 11.

We need your help too. We're still looking for 100 more backpacks and school supplies to help local students start the school year with confidence. Pencil boxes, glue bottles, dry erase markers, backpacks.. we need them. If you've been thinking about donating, now is the perfect time. Check out our wish list in the comments below! Update!
We successfully identified the individuals who left garbage and unwanted items in the Township. They will cover the fee for the extra garbage pickup. I met with them at the Township, where I had the opportunity to explain the Township's functions and my role as Supervisor. I also showed them our food pantry and discussed how the township supports the community. Less than an hour later, they returned with a carload of food and apologized for dumping their belongings on the township. I thought it was important to share the follow-up with all of you.

Today is the day! Support the Avon Township food pantry easily—just leave a bag of food by your mailbox, and your local letter carrier will pick it up and deliver it to Avon Township.

Good morning, Avon Township!

Last week, I received an unexpected opportunity I couldn’t pass up, and I’m excited to share it with you and how it will help me connect with other families in Avon Township. It's a short trip. I'll be back late Sunday night.

Meanwhile, let's play a game. Where do you think I’m flying to today? And the best part? The plane is leaving on time, I have a middle seat, and no one is sitting on either side of me. 🙂
