Round Mountain Public Library The Round Mountain Public Library is open Mon - Fri from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm. We are closed on the weekends. Come in and see what we have to offer!

The Mission of Smoky Valley Library District (SVLD) is to meet the informational, recreational, and cultural needs of the people of SVLD and the surrounding area. Also, we adhere to the “Minimum Public Library Standards for Nevada.”
Round Mountain Public Library (RMPL) and Manhattan Public Library (MPL) is committed to providing free and current information and library materials in a pleasant at

mosphere. We will challenge censorship, support community programs and cultural activities of our area. Special emphasis will be placed on supporting formal and informal education through the community college level, providing reference service, and introducing preschoolers to a lifetime of reading and library use. The purpose of this policy is to state briefly the criteria and responsibility for materials selection and to outline procedures to be followed in the cases of challenge to materials.

Get ready for a colorful adventure!

The Round Mountain Public Library is launching its "Color Your World" Summer Reading Program on Monday, July 7, 2025, from 10 am to 12 pm. Join in on the fun all week long for exciting games, creative crafts, engaging activities, and awesome prizes!

And don't miss the Scholastic Book Fair, happening in the children's wing from 9 am to 4 pm, starting Monday July 7, 2025. Stock up on new books and discover new favorite authors!
