📚💙🍎 This week there is a lot to celebrate!

We’re celebrating Read Across America Week—thank you to everyone who helps spark a love of reading and learning in our students each day! Teachers, Staff, Parents, Grandparents, you name it!

It’s also School Social Work Week—we are so grateful for our incredible school social worker who provide care, advocacy, and support to our students and families. She deserves a lot of praise for all the work she does!

And during School Breakfast Week, we give a big shout-out to our Child Nutrition team for making sure students start each day nourished and ready to learn!

Reminder: Wednesday is a half-day for students.

🌞 Summer Camp Information Night 2026 🌞

Join us on Tuesday, March 10 from 6:00–7:30 p.m. in the IERC Gym to learn about exciting summer camp opportunities for our students!

Representatives from PSRC Indian Education, 4-H, Lumbee Tribe programs, UNC-Pembroke, UNC-Chapel Hill, NCSSM, Camp Grace, and more will be present.

We are excited to announce that we will have a prom at South Robeson Middle School on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM.

This event is only for 7th & 8th grade students at South Robeson Middle School. Other PSRC middle school students or guests will not be able to attend.

💲 Cost: $25.00 per student
💵 Payment should be made to Mrs. T or Mrs. Nakecia during homeroom.
📅 We will be collecting money until March 20, 2026.
❗ There are no exceptions after this date.

✅ Behavior Expectations (Effective February 23 – April 2, 2026):
• No OSS (Out of School Suspension)
• No more than 3 full days of In-School Suspension
• (4 class periods = 1 full ISS day)

We are hoping all 7th and 8th graders will attend and have a great time! Please follow the student handbook when choosing prom attire. Dress code will be enforced during this event.

We can’t wait to celebrate with you! 💃🕺
