Roxboro Rotarians had a great time at the lake home of Robby Jones and Kasey. Delicious BBQ and BBQ chicken and fixins as well as some sinful chocolate thing for dessert.

OK! This is a bit late in posting but the American Heritage Girls presented our program on May 30th.
These amazing ladies help us out with our Wreaths Across America Service project every year and they are on their way to being outstanding citizens. Take a listen!

The Rotary Club of Roxboro held our annual "Teacher's Store at Northern Middle School and Person High School! Teacher often start to run low on supplies this time of year so this is one of uor favorite projacts.

Jamie Wichal of Cry Freedom Missions was our speaker this past Thursday. Unfortunately, the internet connection wasn't cooperating, and I switched to recording a few minutes into her presentation. Here is the balance of the presentation.

Human trafficking prosecutions have increased dramatically in the US in the last 13 years and prosecutions are probably only the tip of the iceberg.

The Cry Freedom Mission reaches out to these young women to help them escape. Their website states - "Cry Freedom Missions reaches, rescues, and restores survivors of human trafficking through jail and hotel outreaches and partnerships with law enforcement. Survivors find safety and healing at the Freedom Home, which offers emergency shelter, long-term care, and transitional housing."

If your schedule allows please join the Roxboro Rotary Club and our Veteran Organizations as we take part in Wreaths Across America. We will start laying wreaths at 8:30am at Person Memorial Cemetery located on Durham Road in Roxboro. After we finish there we will go to Burchwood Cemetery on the Old Durham Road and place wreaths there and then return to Person Memorial Cemetery for our ceremony which starts at 12:00pm. By doing things this way everyone will be able to attend the Roxboro Christmas Parade which starts at 2:00pm. Thank you to the Roxboro Rotary Club for spearheading Wreaths Across America for Person County each year.
