Last week we posted on our new letter board out front, “Come back to books.” We make a point to carry the newest titles, to keep most of the old favorites you’d like to reread, and to offer talks and events that will inform and entertain our community.
Our operating expenses are only 25% percent covered by funds given by the Town of Roxbury with NYS adding just 2%: the remaining need is raised by our Thrift Shoppe proceeds, special fundraising events, and by donations from our library community that includes Grand Gorge, Denver, Halcottville, and Roxbury.
When our Annual Appeal letter arrives in your mailbox this June, please thoughtfully consider your contribution. If you do not receive mail through any of the locales above, please donate one of the following ways:
- Mail donations to us at PO Box 186, Roxbury 12474. We are happy to send a receipt.
- Drop off a donation in person and say “hi”! And borrow a book!
- Use your Venmo or PayPal account to donate to Roxbury Library Association
The staff, the Board of Trustees, and our loyal volunteers thank you.
The reading crisis is real, but the solution does not require new inventions.
