Moving? If your family is moving, please let us know so we can process your student's withdrawal and collect their Chromebook.

PTSA: Join Our Team!

We are officially looking for volunteers to fill our PTSA board and committee positions for the upcoming school year. This is a fantastic way to stay involved, support our teachers, and make a direct impact on our students' junior high experience.
While we have two dedicated individuals ready to serve in the following roles, these positions remain open for additional nominations:

President: Heidi James (Incumbent nominee)
Treasurer: Stephanie Hegland (Incumbent nominee)

Open Positions – We Need You!

We are looking for enthusiastic parents and community members to head the following committees:

Secretary: Keep our records organized and help facilitate communication.

Veterans Day: Help us honor our local heroes with our annual school program.

Student Activities: Plan and oversee fun events that build school spirit.

Teacher Appreciation: Coordinate efforts to show our amazing staff how much we value them.

Parent/Teacher Conference Dinner: Help organize meals for our hardworking teachers during conference evenings.

How to Get Involved
These are just the basic roles we need to cover, so if you’d like to help out in other ways, we can absolutely make that work too!

If you are interested or would like to nominate someone, please let us know ASAP. Whether you have a lot of time or just a little, your support makes a huge difference for our kids. Email [email protected] to get involved!

🚫 Holiday & Cleaning Closures: June 15 (Juneteenth)...July 1 – July 6 (Office Cleaning & 4th of July)...July 24 (Pioneer Day)

🎒 Important August Dates:

Aug 17: New Student Registration (8 AM - 2 PM)

Aug 20: 7th Grade Orientation (3 PM - 4:30 PM) + Open House (4:30 PM - 6:30 PM)

Aug 24: First Day of School (Early out all week!)

Summer is almost here, and we want to make sure every child has access to a healthy, delicious meal while school is out!

The WSD Summer Lunch Program begins on June 1st and runs through July 23rd. This program is open to all children ages 18 and younger at no cost.

The Essentials:
When: Monday – Friday, 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Where: Available at six local elementary schools (see the attached flyer for addresses).
Cost: Free for kids; $4.75 for adults (cash only).
