Hello Roy residents,

We want to give our community a chance to learn more about the potential annexation to the Weber Fire District directly from Chief Williams and Chief Clark. Annexation is a major decision that will affect every resident. We want everyone to feel informed, heard, and included in the discussion. We know how busy life can be, so we have created two opportunities.

Please join us on May 7th at 0900-10:30. If you miss this date, you can join us the following week on May 14th in the evening from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.

This coffee meet-up creates an open, relaxed space where residents can:
•Ask questions
•Share thoughts or concerns
•Hear why annexation is being considered
•Understand what it could mean for service levels, staffing, funding, and the future of our Fire and EMS protection in Roy.

We want to make sure you have the facts from the people directly involved, with no barriers or pressure, just a good conversation about the pros and cons. Whether you’re curious, unsure, or simply want to meet the Chiefs and learn more, this is an opportunity to do so.

We’re ready for good coffee, great company, and open conversation. We want to thank Scooters Coffee for hosting this event!

Respectfully,

Chief Williams

Employee Spotlight! Jake Rast – Battalion Chief!

Jake has been serving at Roy City Fire for 13 years and also brings 17.5 years of experience at North Davis Fire District. Originally from Bountiful, Utah, Jake balances a busy career with his amazing family—his wife Mykala and their three boys.

When he’s not on duty, Jake loves camping, ATV riding, playing guitar, and just spending quality time with his family.

His favorite part of the job? The people he works with every day. Jake’s journey to firefighting started with a passion for paramedicine, and that dedication has guided his career ever since.

Jake’s dedication, experience, and passion for helping others make him not just a firefighter, but a true leader in our community. We’re proud to have him on our team!
