Construction is moving forward at Judson Center's Royal Oak Campus! ๐Ÿ—๏ธ

Over the past three months, we've made progress on renovations to Autism Connections and the Milidrag wing, new treatment and sensory spaces, improvements to the motor skills room, and a new road connecting 13 Mile Road to Greenfield Road.

Up next: renovations to the Child Safe wing, four new visitation rooms for foster care and adoption services, and the conversion of Unit 3 into a medical clinic for behavioral health, medication-assisted treatment, and substance use disorder services.

We're grateful to our Royal Oak staff for their continued patience and flexibility throughout this project, and to everyone helping bring these improvements to life.

We can't wait to see what's next! ๐Ÿ—๏ธโœจ

According to the CDC, 1 in 5 U.S. adults lives with a mental health condition. ๐Ÿ’š

Mental health challenges are more common than many people realize, and no one should have to face them alone.

Whether you're seeking support for yourself, checking in on a loved one, or simply learning more, every conversation helps reduce stigma and reminds people that help is available.

No one should have to navigate mental health challenges alone

The memories from the 2026 Child Safe Gala keep coming! โœจ

We're taking another look back at an incredible evening filled with celebration, connection, generosity, and support for Child Safe Michigan. From the moment our guests arrived to the final moments of the night, we were reminded of what can happen when a community comes together for a shared purpose.

We're so thankful for everyone who celebrated with us, helped make the evening memorable, and continues to believe in the work we do.

Here are a few more moments from a night we won't soon forget. ๐Ÿ’œ

More Than a Job.

Meet Anthony, a valued employee at PARTNR HAUS whose journey shows what can happen when opportunity, support, and community come together.๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป

We spoke with Anthony, his Job Coach Alan, and the Partnr Haus team to hear what meaningful employment looks like from their perspectives. Together, their stories show how a job can be more than a paycheckโ€”it can build confidence, create connections, and foster a true sense of belonging.

Weโ€™re proud to partner with employers who believe in creating meaningful opportunities for people of all abilities.๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™

โœ๏ธ The countdown to a new school year is on! With just a few weeks until students head back to the classroom, now is the perfect time to schedule your child's well-child visit.

A well-child visit is more than an annual checkup. It's an opportunity to monitor your child's growth and development, review immunizations, discuss physical and behavioral health, and connect your family with additional resources if needed.
Starting the school year healthy helps children feel their best, both in and out of the classroom.

๐Ÿ’œ A HUGE thank you to everyone who made our 2026 Child Safe Gala such a wonderful evening! ๐ŸŒŽโœจ

On Friday, August 7, we gathered at The Department at Hudson's for an unforgettable night celebrating Child Safe Michigan and the important work we do for children and families in our community.

We are so grateful to everyone who attended, donated, participated, won auction items, volunteered, helped coordinate, sponsored, and supported our mission. Every contribution, big or small, helped make this evening possible and made a meaningful impact.

Thank you for showing up, giving back, and helping us continue to create brighter futures for the children and families we serve. We had such a wonderful time celebrating with all of you!

We couldn't have done it without you! ๐Ÿ’œ

Every family deserves the chance to stay together. ๐Ÿ’œ

Families Together Building Solutions (FTBS) is a 90-day program that helps families affected by abuse or neglect build the strategies and stability they need to create a safe home โ€” so kids can remain safely with the people who love them.

FTBS serves families in Wayne County through referrals from Children's Protective Services or School Success Coaches in Detroit Public Schools. The results speak for themselves: 85% of families who completed the program remained safely together 12 months later, avoiding foster care placement (MDHHS).

Helping children develop social skills starts with everyday moments at home. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿงก

Simple activities like practicing taking turns with a favorite toy can help children build confidence before using these skills with their peers. Celebrate small successes, offer lots of encouragement, and remember that learning social skills takes time and practice.

๐Ÿค” Who should get a mental health screening?

Short answer: everyone. In this week's Judson Center Answers, our Director of Integrated Care Services breaks down why mental health screenings are not just for times of crisis โ€” they're a valuable tool for monitoring your well-being throughout your entire life. ๐Ÿง ๐Ÿ’š

Just like a physical check-up, checking in on your mental health regularly helps you catch things early and stay ahead of your well-being.
