Royal Oak Commission for the Arts The Royal Oak Commission for the Arts’ mission is to encourage and support Arts and Culture. We like comments and interaction from residents and visitors.

This is the official page for the Royal Oak Commission for the Arts. Our goal is to handle comments and replies made by the public according to the following standard:
If someone posts a comment that requires a response, it will be answered within16 work hours (two work days). City employees will immediately remove any comment which violates any local, state, or federal law regarding discrimination, harassment, or violence. In addition, if the comment contains offensive language, is discriminatory, OR a commercial message that is out of context, then that content will be removed.

The Royal Oak Concert Band and Woodward Avenue Jazz Orchestra have our confirmed schedule for this 2026-2027 concert season! See below. All concerts are held Sundays starting at 3pm in the Royal Oak Middle School Dondero Auditorium. We hope to see you there!

Due to hazardous air quality conditions, we have made the difficult decision to cancel tonight's Summer Concert Series, July 16, 2026. While we're disappointed we won't be together this evening, the health and safety of our community comes first. Thank you for your understanding and continued support. 🎨✨ ATTENTION DESIGNERS & CREATIVE MINDS— WIN UP TO $1,500! ✨🎨

Arts, Beats & Eats in partnership with the Royal Oak Commission for the Arts, is launching the inaugural Spirit of Royal Oak T-Shirt Design Contest. A contest for artists, designers and creative minds to showcase what makes Royal Oak unique through original T-shirt artwork inspired by the city's energy, culture, events and neighborhoods! 🏙️🎶

🏆 Prizes
🥇 First Place: $1,500
🥈 Second Place: $1,000

Winning designs will be produced and sold during Arts, Beats & Eats and through select Royal Oak retailers following the festival. Proceeds from T-shirt sales benefit the Royal Oak Commission for the Arts. ❤️🎨
