The Royal Oak Music Theatre is an amazing place to hold a wedding ceremony or reception! You will love the unique atmosphere that our theater provides. Picture seeing your new name in bright lights or add a personal message on our marquee to welcome your guests. Come inside to see our beautifully appointed lobby where your guests are gathered to witness your ceremony or enjoying themselves with a cocktail and conversation. The doors open to the main auditorium for your grand reception and the first impression is breath-taking! The theater has an open floor plan that can be set up in any fashion. Create your own theme whether traditional, modern, rock and roll or Hollywood glamorous; we provide the perfect backdrop for your personal style. Because we are a fully functioning concert venue, we have a large stage for your entertainment and will treat your guests to a private performance with professional sound and lights showcasing your band or DJ. You are given the freedom to pick your own caterer, designer and florist, or use one of ours- you are only be limited by your imagination! From announcing you as a couple on stage to putting the spotlight on your first dance- we love to put on a good show!

How amazing are these Seniors?! Walled Lake High School's Prom was scheduled to take place at the Royal Oak Music Theatre in May, but it didn't because of Covid. Instead the class of 2020 decided to donate the Prom funds raised to help a local food pantry. Our future is collectively brighter with these kind souls leading us. You guys are awesome!

The Walled Lake Central High School Class of 2020 is giving back to their neighbors in need during a global pandemic.

Our Story

At the Royal Oak Music Theatre, we believe great events are experienced, not attended. Built in 1928, the theatre marries true art-deco architecture with state of the art sound and lighting to create an atmosphere that leaves a lasting impression with our guests. We know how to create an experience that takes people’s breath away, sparks imagination, and inspires creativity. We’re good at what we do but we can’t take all of the credit… The theatre was designed to energize and entertain. The large domed ceiling and curved walls encourage the sound to wash over you while lights add drama to the original art deco walls. The true power of an event is its ability to capture the feelings of a moment so perfectly that it becomes a lasting memory.
