I follow and donate to Save the Chimps, Inc. for the the amazing work they do to aid Chimpanzees in need. Their facility in Ft. Pierce FL is amazing and they will provide tours for those interested. They have a Chimp named Pumpkin and it is his birthday, turning 37!! Pumpkin was born in an experimentation lab and rescued to live out his life in the safety of the sanctuary. There are around 300+ chimps there that are rescues and they are individually so unique. If you can afford to donate to them please do. If you cant afford to donate then at the very least go to their site and meet some of the amazing Chimps in their care. 😀👍👍

Fact: Its estimated that at the turn of the century there were over 1 million Chimpanzees in the wild. Today, it is estimated that there are only about 300,000 in the wild. This is due to activities such as poaching, pet trade, lab experimentation, and habitat loss. Many have no clue as to how serious the issue is or how important they are to the ecosystem. Humans share about 98% of DNA with Chimps and are scientifically very close to human beings.

If you can afford to do so please find a rescue/sanctuary of your choice and donate. The money goes to getting these Chimps out of horrific torturous conditions in many cases. Any purchase made at MissionMugz helps fund chimpanzee rescues/sanctuaries, link is in the bio.
