As we end this week offering appreciation for all the EMS providers across the state. Today Friendship was honored by Tower Health in several areas of Professionalism, Dedication, Excellence and Compassion.

These awards recognized Friendship Ambulance itself as an “Outstanding EMS Agency”, which also included several of our EMS Staff who were recognized by Tower Health for “Outstanding EMS Professionals”. Recognized were Paramedic JP Mensack for his exceptional care, Paramedic Joshua Massengill for exceptional skill, dedication and compassion and The Rose Award for Service Excellence awarded to Platoon Captain & Paramedic Hannah Overholtzer for extraordinary compassion, skill and service that exceeds expectation.

These compliments are well deserved to each and every provider at Friendship. Not only for individual excellence, but more importantly the recognition of how we continue to show commitment to our communities.

FEMA is making $648M available to help firefighters and first responders nationwide get the equipment, staffing and support they need to protect lives and communities. The funding includes:

• $291.6M for equipment, vehicles, PPE and responder wellness
• $324M to help departments hire, recruit and retain firefighters
• $32.4M for fire prevention and firefighter safety research

Crews stood by all weekend at Pennhurst for the Paracon & Oddities Expo. During the event a young man experienced a medical issue. Once the Paranormal Twins found out this 7yr old from Pittsburgh was being treated they arrived at the Paramedic unit to check in on this young fan!
