EV Battery Fires Don’t Burn Like Normal Fires🔋🔥
Most people think charging an EV in the garage is safe.
UNTIL THE BATTERY FAILS.
When lithium-ion batteries enter thermal runaway, the fire behaves differently:
it grows fast, burns hotter, and can re-ignite without warning—especially in enclosed spaces like homes and garages.
🔥 Why this matters
In seconds, these fires can fill rooms with toxic smoke and turn a single battery failure into a large house fire before anyone has time to react.
🚒 What firefighters know
EV battery fires are extremely difficult to extinguish. They often require massive cooling, long suppression times, and can spread rapidly to the entire structure.
Fire safety starts before the flames.
Charge smart. Ventilate properly. Never ignore battery risks.

TOP KITCHEN MISTAKES THAT TURN SMALL FIRES INTO DISASTERS 🔥
Most house fires don’t start with chaos.
They start with normal cooking.
“One minute.”
“One distraction.”
“One wrong reaction.”
That’s all it takes.
🍳 COOKING FIRES START FAST — AND MOST ARE PREVENTABLE
Kitchen fires rarely start big.
They begin when food is left unattended, oil overheats, grease builds up, or attention is divided.
Stepping away “just for a minute” can allow cooking oil to overheat and ignite without warning.
🚫 COMMON KITCHEN MISTAKES
• Leaving cooking unattended
• Grease buildup on stovetops and range hoods
• Towels, paper, and oil bottles near heat
• Overheating cooking oil
• Distractions like phones and multitasking
When flames appear, panic often leads to the most dangerous mistake:
❌ Pouring water on burning oil
This causes a violent fireball and spreads flames instantly.
✅ WHAT TO DO INSTEAD
✔️ Stay in the kitchen while cooking
✔️ Keep flammable items away from the stove
✔️ If oil ignites, turn off the heat if it’s safe
✔️ Cover the pan with a metal lid to smother the fire
✔️ If the fire grows, get out and call for help
Never risk your life trying to fight a growing fire.
🚒 FIRE SAFETY FACT
Kitchen fires are the #1 cause of home fires worldwide.
Most occur during everyday cooking.
Fire safety starts with awareness.
🔥 Stay alert.
🔥 Respect the heat.
🔥 Share this — it could prevent a fire.
