Constitutional Conservatives of Lincoln County Our purpose is to inspire, teach, motivate and encourage a passion to learn about our US Constitution through outreach and service to our community.

Greetings & raise a toast to our Constitution! In 1787, 238 years ago, the US Constitution was signed after a long hot summer in Philadelphia. Two years later, it was ratified by all 13 states, but only after the first ten amendments had been added, what we call the Bill of Rights.

We are honoring Charlie Kirk with a discussion of the First Amendment at our next Constitutional Conservatives meet up:
Oct. 2, 2025, Thursday, at K-Bob's Fireplace Room in Ruidoso at the "Y". Starting at 12:00 noon, ending at 1:00 PM.
-->What does the free speech clause mean in America?
-->What laws and court cases curtail speech?
-->Is it okay for businesses to fire people who celebrate Kirk's death on social media or elsewhere?
This is a free and open forum, but we do ask you order lunch if possible as a way to thank K-Bob's who never charge us for the room.

Back on Facebook - announcement for next meeting at K-Bob's, Ruidoso, on Sept. 4th, 12 noon.

CCLC - Part 3 of the 14th Amendment - BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP
K-Bob's - 12 noon, Thursday, Feb. 6th (come early to order lunch)

We will do a deep dive including the actual text of Pres. Trump's Executive Order and the immediate response from the left which includes a restraining order to prevent the EO's ex*****on. There is no doubt this will end up in the Supreme Court, sooner rather than later. You'll be able to educate your cohort because nobody on the news will include this detail, only their spin.
We'll also take a look at details on Pres. Trump's other historic moves, such as reversing the LBJ Exec. Order 11246 that prohibits discrimination in employment, again, the actual text and how it has been used, along with civil rights legislation to actually discriminate on the basis of race, etc.
This is the 14th Amendment conundrum we discussed in general at our January meeting.
There is no doubt that more history will be made in these next two weeks - it's hard to digest it all! So exciting! I guess we won't lack for Constitutional material in the days and months to come!!

We met on Feb. 2nd & discussed Article I of the US Constitution as well as the "Speaker Fight" and its outcomes, which now virtually every Republican is hailing as a victory (success has a thousand fathers).
On March 2, 2023, we will discuss Article II and Separation of Powers as expounded by Madison and Hamilton in Federalist 47-51. Noon at K-Bobs in Ruidoso. The forum is one hour long and there's a lot of opportunity to discuss, engage with others!
We're expanding our reach to Otero County and are considering changing our name to include Otero.
I'm FINALLY updating this long-dormant FB page, so please let me know your feedback & suggestions. For years I've been doing this forum on my own and would love some additional engagement from community-minded folks in our county.

Folks,

I apologize for not doing an October CCLC - I got overwhelmed with other things.

We WILL MEET on Thursday, next week, to discuss recent important Supreme Court decisions, an update on COVID numbers, vaccinations, etc.

PLEASE VOTE!! School Board elections are happening in many of our communities. We must have a voice and your vote is critical. Last I checked only 210 people had voted across Lincoln County in early voting.

You can vote at the Horton Complex today through Saturday, 10am-6pm or on Election Day,, Nov. 2, 7am-7pm.

Edicts, mandates, lockdowns and other infringements on your right to life, liberty and property are UNCONSTITUTIONAL. A website I just discovered has a lot of good info and ways to re-establish your rights.

We've spent a lot of time discussing the problem of judicial supremacy over the past four years - in this article Daniel Horowitz goes straight to the heart of the problem:

So we're ignoring illegal court rulings in the future, right?
