Gran's Lending Library Check out our little free library at 135 Troy Street in Rumford, RI. It's all in honor of our Gran Gail. Stop by and pick up a FREE book today! Charter #148515

We installed this Little Free Library in honor of our Gran Gail who loved to read ALL the time. On any day Gran had a book in her pocket book, a back up book in her car and piles of books to be read everywhere in her home. Gran passed away in December 2021 and to honor her, we wanted to spread the joy of reading to everyone we could. Gran’s Lending Library has books for all ages (kids, teens and a

dults) and we will try to rotate titles as often as we can. There are no fees to take a book from the library and you do not need to return the book if you really like it. We just ask that you pass on books to other friends and family so everyone can enjoy the fun of books.

Grans is going to go stagnant for a while - some visitors don’t know how to play nice. 14 books taken and no we did not have a rush of people in one day. Second time in two weeks we have been cleaned out. I am disappointed that someone doesn't understand the idea of a LENDING library - Who ever this is isn't playing by the expectations of respect. Sorry to our usual visitors - please let us know directly if you want to see a few options - I can put them out when I know you are coming and then take them back inside so only our respectful friends can swap. Happy Reading all. If you are our visitor that doesn't like to show respect to grans -- please don't visit again. You have disappointed our whole family. And maybe an angel or two above looking down on you. RUDE. (photos show after and the before --- you can see how many books he / she took.) I am so disappointed.
