Attention Camp Township Residents!!!

Roger Bistline, Camp Township Clerk, has brought to the attention of the Camp Township Trustees that he would like to step down from his position. Due to Roger’s wife Lisa fighting Lung Cancer, Roger has made the decision that he change gears and spend more time with his family. We support Roger’s decision and are all wishing Roger and Lisa the best.

Roger has held this position for a great number of years and has served his community without fail. He should be commended for a job well done. Without a doubt he will missed, and his service to our community is greatly appreciated.

This news leaves Camp Township needing to fill the Clerk position as soon as possible. Please reach out if you have any interest or questions. This is a Township position; therefore, you must live in the Township and the current term has three more years until re-election. This is a paid position from Polk County and has IPERS.

Please reach out if you have an interest in or questions about the clerk position. We will take interests until Jan 1st and then set up interviews.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! A couple reminders as you’re cooking today. Don’t put water on a grease fire, cover it instead. If the oven catches inside don’t open it. Turn it off and it should die out. And most importantly be thankful

Carbon Monoxide is deadly. AND DOES NOT SMELL LIKE NATURAL GAS DOES! It is caused by the incomplete combustion of fuels. Make sure all gas appliances have proper exhaust systems. As we head towards September and temperatures start cooling down (I know it doesn’t seem like it right now) remember to service furnaces that haven’t run all year. Open your garage before starting your car. Last but not least routinely check your gas appliances, this could include stoves, ovens, dryers, and fridge/freezers(these are usually in RVs).
