📢📢Calling all local notaries!! If you are a local notary and would like to be put on a list on our library website as a notary, please let us know! We would like to compile a list so that when our residents need a notary, we have a contact list available for reference. Thank you!

🌱📢📢It's Mother's Day weekend!! That means it's time to get serious about planting!! Don't forget our new SEED LIBRARY!! We currently have 120 heirloom fruit, vegetable, and herb seeds waiting to be planted in your gardens! Stop in to choose up to 5 seed packets per household to plant this spring. At the end of the growing season, save some seeds of any and all plants (flowers included!) and bring them in to share back into the Seed Library for next year! We are planning opportunities throughout the summer to learn more about seed saving! We are excited for the many opportunities to "grow" our community's plant and food access in the future!🌱

Perhaps you heard the news yesterday, but the Blue Zoo Aquarium in West Des Moines will be closing its doors May 25th. 😪We will be able to offer the Adventure Pass to the Blue Zoo through May 25th, so this is the time to take advantage of the deal! The Adventure Pass deal is buy 1 admission, get 2 free! For something unique to Iowa, check out the HUGE sting ray hands-on exhibit, the bird room, and all the fun critters throughout the zoo and aquarium!
