Runnemede Fire Department The Official page of the Runnemede Fire Department. The Runnemede Fire Company No. 1 is the fraternal organization of the Runnemede Fire Department.

In order to be a member of the Runnemede Fire Department, you must be a member in good standing of the Runnemede Fire Company No. 1. The Runnemede Fire Company is a Non-Profit Corporation established with Officers serving in positions assigned in our corporate paperwork. These officers and our membership are governed by the Constitution and By-Laws set forth by the Fire Company. As the Preamble st

ates, the Fire Company is established to conduct business with all who are interested with activities in life saving interests. These Officers oversee the operations of the Fire Company, building, grounds, and finances. The Officers appoint committees from the general membership and review reports submitted by the committees. 🔥 OVERNIGHT COOKING FIRE 🔥

Task Force 7 was dispatched around 0400 for a reported kitchen fire at the Metropolitan Apartments. Arriving units located a working kitchen fire which was quickly handled. No injuries and the fire was held to one unit. Occupant assistance provided by the American Red Cross.

A huge thank you to the Runnemede Chamber of Commerce for their generous $500 donation to support our summertime hydration efforts!

As temperatures continue to rise, staying hydrated is one of the most important ways to prevent heat-related illnesses before they occur. This donation will help ensure our firefighters have access to water and sports drinks during the hot summer months.

We’re grateful to have such a supportive organization investing in our local first responders and helping make our community stronger. Thank you for your continued partnership and support!

🎓 FIRE SCHOOL GRADUATES 🎓

Tonight, we had the privilege of attending the Camden County Fire Academy graduation for Classes 26-01 and 26-02.

We’re proud to announce that three of our probationary members successfully completed Firefighter I and Firefighter II. In recognition of their hard work and dedication, each member was presented with their firefighter helmet front after also completing their rookie books while attending the academy.

Your fire company shows up when it matters most. Runnemede Fire Company No. 1 has served this community since 1910. Day or night, your neighbors answer the call. In 2025, we responded to over 500 emergencies, which were handled by volunteers.

Here’s the truth:
• Local funding covers less than half of what it takes to operate our building.
• The rest depends on support from residents like you
Your support helps daily operations running.
• Maintain building essentials
• Ensure fast, reliable response when you need it

The widespread burning plastic odor being noticed in the area has been traced to a trash fire in the City of Camden. At this time, there is no danger to the Borough of Runnemede.

Residents with asthma, allergies, or other respiratory conditions are encouraged to remain indoors if the odor is causing irritation.

As always, please call 911 if you observe anything unusual or believe there is an emergency.
