Today, we mourn the heartbreaking loss of Firefighter Jon Arbogast.

Jon dedicated himself to helping others and serving his community. His life was tragically taken far too soon in a motorcycle accident, leaving behind family, friends, fellow firefighters, and countless people whose lives he touched.

Today, we stand together in support of Jon’s family and loved ones, remembering the man he was, the lives he touched, and the service he gave.

Please keep Jon’s family, friends, and his brothers and sisters in the fire service in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Never forgotten. Always a firefighter

Please join us on September 5th, 2026 10 am to 4pm for our first annual Community Bash. We will have hot dogs and BBQ meals for sale. The jolly jumps will be weather permitting. All jolly jumps and carnival games are free for all children. The firehouse rubber duck race is $1 a duck and age groups will be announced later. We will have a donation box for cleaning and hygiene supplies so that we have a small stock for any local or state disaster, if you’d like to make a donation just bring it and place it in that box. Thank you and we hope to see everyone on September 5th.

URGENT REQUEST FOR PRAYERS and TRAINED SEARCH VOLUNTEERS NEAR WEST VIRGINIA

Mission Mules is coordinating additional resources to assist with an active search in West Virginia following the recent flooding along the South Branch of the Potomac River.

A woman was swept away in the floodwaters yesterday along with her two children. The two children have since been located, but the search continues for their mother. Search crews have been working since approximately 3:00 p.m. yesterday, and additional resources are urgently needed to support the ongoing effort.

We are currently seeking trained volunteers and organized search groups who are willing and able to assist with searching along the riverbanks and surrounding areas.

If you are part of a search-and-rescue organization or trained volunteer group and can respond, please reach out to Mission Mules as soon as possible. We are coordinating these additional requested resources with those on the ground.

This is a difficult and ongoing search, and every qualified resource that can safely contribute may make a difference.

Please share this post with SAR organizations and trained volunteers in the area who may be able to help.

To volunteer or offer assistance, please contact Mission Mules directly. 704-677-4685

The last load is delivered. The word we got the distribution centers are stopping taking donations to work on getting stuff to the citizens. The stories are heartbreaking. We were told this morning how the fire departments were cutting holes in roofs to rescue people. Makes you think about how blessed and lucky we are.

Loaded and pulling out for Weston! Thanks again to everyone that has donated.
