Over the last week, our crews have been on the move, helping restore power across multiple states and communities. Day and night, they’ve answered the call with professionalism, determination, and pride.

Many of our men and women spent the holiday away from their families so others could have their lights back on. That level of dedication doesn’t go unnoticed.

🇺🇸 Happy Independence Day from Appalachian Utility Services! 🇺🇸

Today we celebrate the birth of our nation and the freedoms that generations of Americans have fought to protect. On July 4, 1776, our Founding Fathers adopted the Declaration of Independence, declaring that the United States would be a free and independent nation built on the principles of liberty, equality, and self-government.

As families gather for cookouts, parades, fireworks, and time together, we’d like to take a moment to recognize another group of Americans who are serving their communities today.

Thank you to the men and women working through the holiday to keep the lights on. Whether you’re restoring power, maintaining the electrical grid, responding to emergencies, or standing by to answer the call, your dedication doesn’t stop because it’s a holiday.

Your commitment allows millions of families to safely celebrate Independence Day with the people they love.
