And its not too late to be part of our Grand Fireman's Parade to be held on Saturday Aug 1 - step off at 530pm.

Last night at approx 630pm - Rush units were dispatched to Rt251 at Rt 390 for a Motor Vehicle Accident with possible entrapment.

Units arrived onscene to find everyone had self extricated and thankfully only minor injuries.

This is a friendly reminder… as the weather gets nicer and we all drive in a good mood, windows down, sun shining bright, wind blowing thru our hair, distracted by the newest Taylor Swift hits… keep your eyes on the road and the distractions to a minimum…

After a hiatus for a few years, Our Explorer Post is back! In their first gathering as a group, they visited the Rochester Airport Firehouse for a tour and to learn their operations.

Special thanks to Firefighter Mcgory who led our visit.

Rush, N.Y. (WHAM) — Across the state, the volunteer firefighter ranks have dropped by some 40 percent in recent years.

At approx 830p tonight Rush units were dispatched to a Motor Vehicle Accident with a Tractor Trailer off the road and power lines down.

Units arrived on scene to find a pole sheared and a power line across the roadway. A tractor trailer left the roadway narrowly missing a residence. Thankfully the driver was not injured.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

Last night members trained on basic Forcible Entry skills… forcing inward and outward swinging doors.
A basic skill that we need to be proficient in for easy quick access.
