At Semcac, we’re proud to see the difference Weatherization can make in the lives of those we serve.

Shirley, a retired nurse from Austin, MN, has lived in her home for over 50 years. With the help of Semcac’s Weatherization Program, her home received energy-saving upgrades like added insulation, improved ventilation, and a new water heater—making her home safer, healthier, and more comfortable.

✨ “Now I am warm in the winter, and the house is cooler in the summer,” Shirley shared.
For individuals on fixed incomes, these improvements aren’t just about comfort—they mean lower utility bills, better air quality, and the ability to remain in the homes they love.

In this role, you’ll help ensure children and families receive the support they need to thrive. You’ll lead disability services for our Head Start and Early Head Start programs—supporting inclusive classrooms, partnering with families, and helping children reach their full potential.

Coordinate disability services across Head Start programs
Support screening, evaluation, and individualized plans
Partner with families and protect parent rights
Provide coaching and support to staff for inclusive practices

Looking for a meaningful career where you can stay active, help your community, and be part of a great team? SEMCAC is hiring a Dispatcher II—a unique dual role combining driving and dispatching to keep our community moving!

✨ What You’ll Do:
✔ Safely transport passengers of all ages using a transit bus or STS van
✔ Schedule rides and coordinate routes using dispatch software
✔ Provide excellent customer service to riders and community members
✔ Ensure passenger safety, including mobility assistance and securement
✔ Manage trip updates, changes, and communication with drivers
✔ Complete inspections, reports, and daily logs

🚦 What We’re Looking For:
✅ High school diploma or GED
✅ Strong communication and customer service skills
✅ Ability to stay calm and organized in fast-paced situations
✅ Valid driver’s license (CDL + passenger endorsement preferred—or willingness to obtain)
✅ Basic computer skills and attention to detail [Dispatcher II JD | PDF]
