Rushford Free Library

We have a few pieces of art work ready to display at the library. So don't forget to get your submissions in before June 19th. Art pieces from various mediums are welcome, items just can not be larger that 12x12. This is an independent program for all ages. The art can be dinosaur or America 250th themed. We hope to display a lot of artwork. We will have prizes for the best pieces.

We were so grateful to have had the perfect day for our very first Duck Derby last Saturday!

A special thanks goes out to Deb Forkey for sharing her musical talents with us, Lynn Fulmer at the Cuba Library for letting the ducks come to Rushford to swim, and & Giant Food Mart for your donations!

We had 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners - competing with over 100 ducks!
Our new duck's name was voted on; see the 2nd picture!

Pictures and videos of our fun day are still to come!
We hope everyone will come and visit us this summer for some more programs!

Our "Needlers" group aka Stitch -n- talk will be meeting on Tuesday, June 9th at 1:30pm. This is a bring your own projects to work on and a time to visit with other community members. For the time being we will be meeting just once a month, but if interest continues to grow we will talk it over with the group to set a more frequent meeting date.

Join us for our very first Duck Derby! We're excited to host this family-friendly event. You do not need to "adopt" a duck to attend.
Come enjoy free games and duck-themed crafts before the big race at 12:30 pm.

Visit the library during open hours to "adopt" ducks.

Have you ever wanted to learn to play the Ukulele? Now is your chance. Starting on Monday, June 1st at 7pm the library will be hosting Ukulele classes instructed by Deb Forkey. You will need to bring your own Ukulele, no sign up is required. We do have a 2 Ukuleles that can be borrowed to the first 2 requests.

We want to thank all of our patrons and supporters. The Rushford library proposal on the Cuba Rushford School budget passed 306 yes votes to 115 no votes. We appreciate your continued support of us and how we contribute to our community and school district.

A reminder for our Little Bookworms' families. This Friday, May 22 we will not be having program due to Cuba Rushford having off for an long Memorial Day weekend. However we will be having a story time and crafts on Saturday, May 23 at 11am for our Duck Derby event.

Looking to see if there is any interest in restarting Stitch -n-Talk aka "needlers" back up. We would meet the second Tuesday of each month at 1:30pm for a time of crafting and visiting. Please comment on this post or message us. If there is enough interest our first meeting would be Tuesday, June 9th.
