🎆 Independence Day Safety Reminder 🎆

The City of Rushville would like to remind residents to use caution when celebrating Independence Day this year.

🔥 Due to ongoing drought conditions, Fire Chief Keith Wellnitz recommends that while the purchase of fireworks not be banned, residents strongly consider refraining from using fireworks this season. Dry conditions significantly increase the risk of grass and structure fires, putting lives, property, and emergency resources at risk.

As we celebrate America's 250th Anniversary, we encourage everyone to honor this historic milestone in safer ways by:
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Spending time with family and friends
🎉 Attending community events
❤️ Enjoying patriotic activities that do not pose a fire danger

Come to the library to help these girls start their business for school!!!

Peanuts smashed all over the steps and landing, and something poured all over the ramp. All because I and the library staff have told 3 children that the steps and ramp are not a play ground.
