Laker Boys JV Soccer defeats Taylor County 1-0. Varsity falls 0-5.

Russell County boys JV soccer team had a strong showing against Taylor County’s JV. Ethan Schuning found the back of the net in 28th minute. The score held for the remainder of the game and the Laker defense held strong defensively keeping the score 1-0.

The Lakers varsity team battled hard but lost 0-5 to a tough Taylor County varsity team. Laker Keeper, Xavion Russell, stayed strong in the goal with 11 saves.

The Lakers are now 6-3 on the season and 3-1 Region play.
