☀️ SUN Bucks Are Here! ☀️

Families receiving SNAP or FDPIR benefits do not need to apply — school-age children are automatically eligible for SUN Bucks summer grocery benefits.

Children may also qualify if they attend a school that participates in the National School Lunch Program or School Breakfast Program (All Russell County Schools participate in the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program) and the household meets income requirements for free or reduced-price meals.

Good morning, Russell County! 🍓✨

We’re serving up a delicious breakfast this morning in Russell County Schools featuring fresh baked cinnamon rolls and locally grown strawberries from Wilson’s Cedar Point Farm! Students will also enjoy local fresh milk to complete their meal. And remember — all breakfast and lunch meals are FREE for every Russell County student!

🍓 Fresh, local, and delicious! We are excited to serve fresh, local strawberries tomorrow from Wilson's Cedar Point Farm in partnership with Vaughn's Green River Valley Farm Products!

We are proud to support these Kentucky farmers through our Farm to School efforts and the Kentucky Proud program. Providing students with fresh, locally grown foods helps strengthen our communities while giving students healthy, high-quality choices they can enjoy.

We are so grateful for our incredible school nutrition team and everything they do each and every day for our students. From preparing nutritious meals to greeting students with a smile, their hard work makes a difference far beyond the cafeteria.

Russell County Schools is excited to once again offer a FREE Summer Feeding Program for children 18 and under!

📍 IMPORTANT UPDATE: ONE PICK-UP LOCATION ONLY

This year, there will be only ONE pick-up site:

🏫 Russell County High School
🕙 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
📅 Wednesdays only

👉 We are using a single location this year so we can provide fresh milk with every meal kit.

🥛 Each child will receive ONE gallon of milk per week as part of their meal kit.
