Are you new to canning, or do you want to try canning something new? Join the Russell County Extension Office on July 16th from 10 am to 12 pm to learn to can bread and butter pickles!

The class is free, but an RSVP is required. Please call 270-866-4477 to RSVP.

Hands-on beginner sourdough class on July 13th @ 5 PM: Bring your own bowl to start a loaf of bread.

Beginner Hand Embroidery class: August 31st @ 10 AM. The fee is $10, and you will get an embroidery kit for the class.

REMINDER: Lice checks and medication drop off is this morning 10 AM-12 PM at the Russell County Extension Office!

If your child takes medication and will be needing it for the camp week, please bring enough for the camp week in its' original container, placed inside a ziplock bag labeled with your child's name and a photo of your child.

Just a reminder: 4-H Camp Lice Check time has changed to 10am to 12pm here at the Extension Office on Saturday, June 13th, 2026. We hope to see everyone there. If you are not able to attend at this time, please come by the office to pick up a form for your healthcare provider to complete. This form can be turned in the day of camp Check-in (June 16,2026)
