The 2027-2030 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) is now available on the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s (KYTC’s) website. The project listing in STIP is based upon the projects scheduled in the 2026 Enacted Highway Plan approved by the Kentucky General Assembly, and signed into law by Governor Beshear in April 2026. The STIP is mandated by the federal “Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act” (IIJA), the Congressional Act authorizing ongoing federal-aid transportation programs.
In compliance with federal law, the KYTC has made the FY 2027-2030 Draft STIP available for public comment from August 1, 2026 through August 30, 2026, a period of 30 days.
For more information you are invited to attend the Regional Transportation Committee Meeting on September 3rd at 12 central time at LCADD in Russell Springs.

Lake Cumberland Area Development District (LCADD) recently took the regional stage in Atlanta, where it was invited by the National Association of Development Organizations (NADO) to highlight two tourism projects in McCreary County funded by the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA).
The presentation was part of the July 21-23, 2026, Economic Development Training for the EDA Atlanta Region, bringing together rural development organizations from across the Southeast.
LCADD is proud to share the work taking place throughout the Lake Cumberland region and the partnerships helping move these projects forward. EDA investments have supported meaningful improvements in our communities, creating opportunities that strengthen the region and benefit the people who call it home.
