I wasn't as clear in my last post as I should have been. The ballot drawing that takes place tomorrow is for Non-partisan office candidates only. Partisan office positions are determined by the party of the sitting president. I apologize for any confusion! Have a great evening!

Thursday, June 4th at 2pm we will be holding the ballot position drawing. This will decide what number position each of the candidates will appear below their race. This will take place at the Logan County Clerk’s Office. It will be open to the public. If a candidate is not there to draw for themselves, a County Board of Election member will fill in to draw for you.

I was recently asked about party statistics for Logan County. I have some numbers together to share. These were the stats as of the end of April 2026.

In Logan County we have:

7865 registered Dem
9605 registered Rep
1076 registered Other
798 registered Ind
89 registered Libert
7 registered Green
15 registered Const
1 registered Reform
1 registered Soc Wk
0 KY Prty

There are 9085 male registered voters
There are 10355 female registered voters

for a total of 19,457 registered voters

Tomorrow we will conduct the Hand-Eye Election Audit.

4 counters in teams of 2 (1 Democrat and 1 Republican per team) as well as the County Board of Elections will meet in the Old Courthouse at 10:30am to tally every vote cast in the Russellville Mayoral Race from a ballot scanner that was stationed at the Logan County CTC.

The Secretary of State randomly draws which machine and which race the counters will be tallying by hand during the audit. The counters were chosen from the most recent list of Election workers. The purpose of this KRS requirement is to verify the machine counter has provided the same results as hand counting. All 120 counties are required to conduct this audit. Anyone is welcome to come and view the audit. Again, it will begin at 10:30am at the Old Courthouse tomorrow in Russellville.
