I was recently asked about party statistics for Logan County. I have some numbers together to share. These were the stats as of the end of April 2026.

In Logan County we have:

7865 registered Dem
9605 registered Rep
1076 registered Other
798 registered Ind
89 registered Libert
7 registered Green
15 registered Const
1 registered Reform
1 registered Soc Wk
0 KY Prty

There are 9085 male registered voters
There are 10355 female registered voters

for a total of 19,457 registered voters

Tomorrow we will conduct the Hand-Eye Election Audit.

4 counters in teams of 2 (1 Democrat and 1 Republican per team) as well as the County Board of Elections will meet in the Old Courthouse at 10:30am to tally every vote cast in the Russellville Mayoral Race from a ballot scanner that was stationed at the Logan County CTC.

The Secretary of State randomly draws which machine and which race the counters will be tallying by hand during the audit. The counters were chosen from the most recent list of Election workers. The purpose of this KRS requirement is to verify the machine counter has provided the same results as hand counting. All 120 counties are required to conduct this audit. Anyone is welcome to come and view the audit. Again, it will begin at 10:30am at the Old Courthouse tomorrow in Russellville.

Tomorrow is the last chance to get your vote cast and counted! As of Saturday, Logan County has cast 566 votes out of over 19, 000 registered voters, which is less than 3% of voters registered.

If a voter accidentally marks 2 candidates for one office, no vote will be recorded for that office. This is called an overvote and you may see or hear that term when the results are read.

If a voter accidentally or intentionally does not make a selection for one office, no vote will be recorded for that office. This is called an undervote and you may see or hear that term when the results are read.

Remember, all registered voters are welcome to cast their vote at the Logan County Extension office today or tomorrow, between 8am and 4pm, to avoid potential lines on Tuesday! That is located at 255 John Paul Rd. Russellville, KY. 42276.

All registered voters are welcome to begin voting today at the Logan County Extension Office, located at 255 John Paul Ave. Russellville, KY 42276. The hours are 8-4 today, tomorrow May 15th, and Sat May 16th! No excuse required!

There are no requirements to meet in order to vote early, no excuse needed! Feel free to visit the Logan County Extension Office on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday from 8am to 4pm to cast your ballot early and avoid lines on Tuesday!
