Today, members of the Russellville Fire Department proudly displayed the American flag in honor of World War II Gold Star Veteran Royle Bradford Luker as he is finally brought home after more than 80 years.

May we never forget the sacrifice made by Mr. Luker and so many others who gave everything for our country.

Today we pause to remember the men and women who gave everything in service to our country. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend , it’s a reminder that freedom comes at a cost paid by heroes and the families who carry that sacrifice forever.

The Russellville Fire Department proudly honors those who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our nation.

As you spend time with family and friends today, please take a moment to remember the true meaning of Memorial Day.

We remember. We honor. We are grateful

Recently, members of the Russellville Fire Department Technical Rescue Team traveled to conduct rope rescue training in a real-world environment.

Training in locations like this gives our team the opportunity to work in the same type of terrain and conditions we could face during an actual emergency involving hikers, climbers, or outdoor recreation incidents.

High-angle rescue is a low-frequency, high-risk discipline, and realistic training is critical to making sure our crews are ready when called upon.

We’re thankful for the opportunity to train in one of Arkansas’ most unique outdoor locations and continue sharpening the skills needed to serve our community and visitors safely.

Big things are coming to the Russellville Fire Department.

Over the past several months, our crews have been working behind the scenes on a program that will bring advanced, life-saving care directly to the citizens we serve. Once finalized and approved, Russellville will become one of the first departments in Arkansas with this capability on our units.

A huge thank you to Megan, Christie, and Interim EMS Service Director Micah Piker for helping share the story and highlight what this means for our community.

This is another step forward in ensuring critical care begins the moment we arrive on scene, because in emergencies, minutes matter.

33 years… and tonight’s the last shift.

B Shift got to send Battalion Chief Bubba Moix out the right way today. A whole career of showing up, getting it done, and taking care of his crew and community.

No more tones after tonight, Chief.

Enjoy retirement — you’ve more than earned it.
