The backpacks are packed, the coffee is flowing, and a brand-new year is officially underway at Arkansas Tech University! 📚☕

Whether you're stepping onto campus for your very first class or you're already counting down the semesters until graduation, we're excited to have you here in Russellville.

Here's to new friendships, new experiences, late-night study sessions, big wins, and plenty of memories along the way.

Wishing all of our Russellville School District students, teachers, staff, and families an amazing start to the new school year! 💛

As everyone settles back into their school-year routines, remember our roads will be a little busier too.

🚌 Allow a little extra time for school buses and morning traffic
🚸 Slow down and watch carefully for kids crossing streets
🛑 Never pass a stopped school bus when its red lights are flashing
👀 Stay alert in school zones and neighborhoods

A few extra minutes and a little extra patience can help make sure everyone gets where they're going safely.

The Russellville Fire Department and Russellville Firefighter Association's 25th Anniversary 9/11 Remembrance Apparel is now available to order online.

These special designs honor the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the sacrifice and bravery we remember from September 11, 2001.

💚💛 Welcome home, Wonder Boys and Golden Suns! 💛💚

Move-In Day at Arkansas Tech University is this Sunday, August 16, and Russellville is ready to welcome new and returning students and their families to town!

If you're moving into campus housing, your first stop will be Tucker Coliseum at your registered check-in time. From there, ATU volunteers will be stationed at residence halls to help get those boxes, mini fridges, and everything else you somehow managed to fit in the car moved into your new home. 📦😅

A few things to know for Sunday:

💚 Free water, shaved ice & sodas at Mullens Plaza | 10 AM–4 PM
📚 ATU Bookstore open | 9 AM–5 PM
☕ Starbucks at Baswell Techionery opens | 8 AM
🍽️ Special $8 + tax lunch rate for parents & family at Chambers Cafeteria
👨‍👩‍👧 Parent & Family Welcome | 1:30 PM
💛 Parent & Guardian Student Send-Off | 2:45 PM
🎓 New Student Orientation begins later that afternoon

Join us at Point Remove for a special benefit concert supporting the Arkansas River Valley Arts Center Foundation, a nonprofit helping bring arts opportunities to people of all ages throughout the River Valley.

🎤 Anthony Trabone of East of Anthony will take the stage for a solo performance. East of Anthony has earned numerous awards, released their first CD last year, and continues to gain fans across the country and even internationally.
