Synopsis: Agents with the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force conducted a 7 month investigation regarding Engaging in Organized Crime and Trafficking in Controlled Substances (Prescriptions) in Franklin, Kentucky.

On May 12th, 2026, due to an ongoing drug trafficking investigation, Agents with the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force were performing surveillance on Timothy Spivey’s residence on Macedonia Road in Franklin, KY. Agents observed Spivey drop something in the grass near the roadway as a Simpson County Jail trash pickup crew was walking on Macedonia Road. Agents then observed Cody L. Green, an inmate at the Simpson County Jail, picking up the item that Spivey had dropped. Agents stopped the trash pickup crew and located Crystal Methamphetamine in Green’s pants pocket. This is the fifth time Spivey has been charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine. A search was obtained and executed at Spivey’s residence. More Crystal Methamphetamine was located along with packaging materials, scales and paraphernalia Cody L. Green (Age 31, of Smiths Grove) Charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Offense (Methamphetamine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Timothy C. Spivey (Age 53, of Franklin) Charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 2nd Offense < 2 Grams of Methamphetamine, Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 2nd Offense >= 2 Grams of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On April 22, 2026, an anonymous crime stoppers tip was called in stating Dedrick Beck was seen with a Cayla Brown. Beck was wanted for seven outstanding felony warrants. Agents with the South-Central Kentucky Drug Task Force conducted surveillance at Cayla’s residence and attempted to contact her. A short time later, her vehicle was seen leaving the residence. Drug Task Force officers were able to follow the vehicle while giving out the location for Simpson County Deputy’s to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle. Once the vehicle turned onto Stevenson Road, Deputies stated they were at Stevenson Road and Bowling Green Road waiting for the vehicle. Before the vehicle reached Deputies, it was located wrecked in the 1600 block of Stevenson Road. The driver, Dedrick Beck and the passenger, Cayla Brown were taken into custody without incident. During an interview, it was discovered Brown was aware of Becks wanted status and was helping him elude arrest. It was learned that Beck had provided ma*****na to Brown on this date. During the investigation it was learned narcotics were in a shed at Brown’s residence. A search warrant was executed at the residence and suspected ma*****na and co***ne were located. Later that night, Jail Deputies located an unknown substance in Becks wallet. Franklin Police responded and charged Beck for Possession of He**in.

Synopsis:
On 04-20-2026 at approximately 6:10 pm, in the area of Holland Road in Scottsville, Ky, Agents of the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle related to a narcotics investigation. Deputies with the Allen County Sheriff’s Office attempted to initiate the traffic stop, at which time the suspect vehicle began fleeing Westbound on Holland Road. A tire deflation device was successfully deployed on the suspect vehicle. While attempting to elude law enforcement, suspect struck an unmarked detectives’ vehicle. The suspect vehicle continued fleeing through the city limits of Scottsville while throwing objects out the window. The fleeing vehicle disabled on Briarfield. The suspect was removed from the vehicle and taken into custody without further incident. A K9 was deployed for an open-air sniff of the vehicle resulting in a positive indication for illegal narcotics. Upon a search of the vehicle, a large amount of suspected methamphetamine, suspected fentanyl, and ma*****na were located. Upon a search in the area where the suspect was throwing objects from the vehicle, agents located a large amount of methamphetamine and paraphernalia. The suspect, 32-year-old Jordan Johnson of Tennessee, was lodged in the Allen County Detention Center.

On February 23, 2026, Agents with the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force conducted a search warrant at a residence in Franklin, Kentucky. During the ex*****on of the search warrant, Agents located a ma*****na grow operation consisting of 25 plants. Agents also located over 14 pounds of ma*****na, fi****ms, a large amount of cash, psilocybin and several various items of paraphernalia. Michael Belcher, 57 yoa, of Franklin, Kentucky was arrested on the following charges:
1) Trafficking within 1000 feet of a school
2) Poss of controlled substance 1 degree 1 offense unspecified
3) Prescription controlled substance not in proper container
4) Trafficking ma*****na >5 lbs 2nd offense (enhanced)
5) Cultivating in ma*****na (5 plants or more) 2nd or > offense (enhanced)
6) Poss cont. substance 2nd degree- hallucinogen
7) Drug paraphernalia
8) Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon x3
9) Possession of cont. substance 3rd degree unspecified

• Importing Carfentanil, Fentanyl or Fentanyl Derivatives

Synopsis:
On November 13, 2025, Agents were notified that Jaurez Montgomery, of Nashville, Tennessee, would be coming to Franklin, Kentucky in possession of a large amount of methamphetamine and some fentanyl. Troopers with the Kentucky State Police Interdiction Team located Montgomery traveling north on Interstate 65. A traffic stop was conducted, and Montgomery was detained and taken to the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force office. Montgomery was advised that if he had anything illegal on his person, it would result in further charges once walking into the jail. Montgomery denied having anything on his person. During a search of his person, approximately 3 ounces of methamphetamine and 2 grams of fentanyl were located. Montgomery is currently being housed at the Simpson County Detention Center on a $25,000 cash bond.

Synopsis:

On October 14th, 2025, Agents with the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at the V**e & Smoke store in Franklin Kentucky. The warrant was the culmination of an investigation into the selling to underage subjects and the sale of the raw plant material that is illegal to sell in the State of Kentucky. The search resulted in approximately 1 and half pounds of raw material and U.S. Currency being seized. The investigation is still ongoing, and charges are pending.
