Russellville-Lohman Fire Protection District – Station 1 Update
We have met with insurance adjusters regarding both the Station 1 facility and the affected apparatus. We are currently in the process of contacting contractors to begin cleanup and reconstruction following the damage caused by the brush truck fire.
As part of this effort, all critical systems will be thoroughly inspected to ensure safe and reliable operation. This includes the air compressors, washing machine, gear dryer, cascade system (breathing air bottle filling system), and HVAC system. The apparatus bay sustained significant damage and will require a full renovation.
At this time, one brush truck has been declared a total loss, and a reserve engine has sustained damage. All other apparatus remain operational, though some have minor cosmetic damage.
Despite these challenges, we are proud to report that the department remains fully operational and committed to serving our community.
