SOCIAL MEDIA MODERATION:
The ATU DPS utilizes social media in an effort to keep citizens informed and educated on current events and emergency notifications when applicable.
We believe social media helps to improve the quality of life for our viewers by creating a direct method of communication. To create a social environment that is welcoming to all, as part of our social media moderation policy, all posts or comments containing offensive or perceived to be offensive language will be removed at the discretion of the ATU DPS.
ATU DPS utilizes, when available, profanity filters that automatically block posts using words and phrases marked as offensive by members of the community. ATU DPS and its leadership reserve the right, without notice to hide, delete, mute, block, ban or unfollow any persons or posts containing: false information, profanity, derogatory language, sexual content, threatening messages, advertisements, political messages, defamatory words, abusive remarks, harassment, comments not topically related to the particular subject matter being presented, hatred, off-topic comments, or anything that could violate the legal rights of others and anything that is promoting illegal activity as perceived by the administration.
Posting on our social media sites (including but not limited to Facebook and Instagram) constitutes acceptance and understanding of the above terms.
