💙 What a Month to Remember 💙
As we close out May, we are reflecting on a month filled with connection, growth, service, and community.
Throughout Community Action Month, we celebrated the incredible work being done every day to help individuals and families build brighter futures. We were reminded that Community Action is more than programs and services—it is people helping people and communities coming together to create lasting change.
May was also Mental Health Awareness Month, providing an opportunity to recognize the importance of mental wellness, self-care, recovery, and supporting one another through life's challenges. Together, we shared resources, encouragement, and conversations that help reduce stigma and promote hope.
This month also brought the opportunity to attend the 51st Annual ACAAA Spring Conference, where Community Action professionals from across Arkansas gathered to learn, collaborate, and strengthen our collective impact. We were honored to hear from industry leaders, including Jim Masters of the Center for Community Futures, whose decades of experience and contributions to Community Action continue to inspire agencies across the nation.
While May brought many opportunities to celebrate, it also included bittersweet moments as we said farewell to two valued members of our ARVAC family, Sonia Connerly and Rachael Reed. We thank them for their dedication, service, and the positive impact they have made on our organization and the people we serve. We wish them nothing but success and happiness in their next chapters.
As we look back on an incredible month, we invite you to join us in reliving the memories. 📸🎥

Together, we are Helping People. Changing Lives. 💙
