The Russellville Fire Department wants thank CMT Components for there generous donation of battery operated DeWalt tools. These tools will be put in service on our first out engine for multiple types of tools to be used for rescue operations along with just general lighting purposes. Pictured above from left to right. A little truck wash after today’s Mutual aid structure fire in Aberdeen! Good work by all the crews and departments involved. Our members cleaned our trucks and equipment after the run so we are prepared for the next one!

2024 run numbers.

In 2024 our department responded to 123 incidents
•32 of which were Fires
•24 Motor vehicle accidents
•23 medical assist
•21 storm damage, and
•23 miscellaneous runs

Russellville Life squad responded to 224 Medical emergencies. Out of that our squad transported by ground 134 times had 37 patient refusals.

We could never do this without the support of our community and first responders that dedicate so much time to help serve patients in need! Thank you all for the continued support!

Today brown county was awarded a HUGE grant to help all departments purchase new radio equipment!

Our portion of this grant was in the amount of $26,633.80 this money will go to provide our department with new radios and required maintenance on some of our existing radios!

At approximately 3:20 this afternoon our department was dispatched to a mutual aid structure fire in Adams County. Multiple agencies responded to this fire and were able to extinguish the fire quickly and prevent it from spreading to other nearby structures. Members were on scene for approximately one and a half hours. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

At approximately 10:10 this morning our department was dispatched to a 2 car accident, car vs semi. Members quickly realized the possible severity of this accident and with limited information given, members requested Paramedic and Fire Department assist from Georgetown Fire and EMS. Crews arrived on scene to find a heavy damage head on collision. Unfortunately due to the severity of the accident one individual succumbed to their injuries. We would like to send our sincere condolences to this individuals family during this difficult time. We would also like to thank all of the agencies that worked together today!

At this time the cause of the accident is still being investigated by members of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
