Good evening everyone. Sorry I haven’t responded or posted anything in a while. It’s been really hard. Sunday was Williams birthday. Thank you everyone for your support!!!

I started this page so that us Parents and ,or Guardians, of children in Rustburg schools or have been to Rustburg schools could have a community , that we can band together and help our children.

This is my son William Hawkins III. On November 4,2025 I came come to find he had taken his own life. After looking through a lot of his student canvas app I found a lot of emails between him and an old teacher. He told her about how badly he was being bullied, said he “was done and can’t take it anymore “. That teacher never told anyone anything. Except telling my son she wasn’t his teacher anymore and to tell someone else. My husband (William’s father) and I went to the school board about everything. We never got to know what was the outcome of our meeting with them. I called after another student took their life too. And asked what they are doing because it wasn’t enough. I was told they were doing everything possible for their students and no bullying was occurring at his school, and nothing needed to change. Im not backing down from him!!! When is enough, enough???? I truly believe we as parents need to stand up and if enough of us stand up the school board will have no choice but to investigate this school. We need to stand together before there is another life gone way too soon!!!!! My son was the 7th just from this school to take his life. SOMETHING NEEDS TO CHANGE NOW!!!!
