Election Information Update

Nov. 13, 2021 - Lincoln Parish’s Open Primary Election (Originally October 9th- rescheduled due to Hurricane Ida)

* The deadline to register to vote in person or by mail is Oct. 13. This deadline applies to registrations submitted through the driver’s license office.

* The deadline to register to vote through the GeauxVote Online Registration System is Oct. 23.

* Early voting is Oct. 30 through Nov. 6 (excluding Sunday, Oct. 31) from 8:30 a.m.- 6 p.m.

* The deadline to request an absentee ballot is Nov. 9 by 4:30 p.m.
You can request an absentee ballot online through the Louisiana Secretary of State’s Voter Portal or in writing through your Registrar of Voters Office (other than military and overseas voters).

* The deadline for a registrar of voters to receive a voted absentee ballot is Nov. 12 by 4:30 p.m. (other than military and overseas voters).

CANDIDATE QUALIFYING DATES

JULY 14-16, 2021

Local and municipal candidates qualify with the clerk of court in the parish in which they are registered to vote.

State candidates qualify in the executive offices of Secretary of State, Kyle Ardoin at 8585 Archives Ave. in Baton Rouge between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

The Lincoln Parish Registrar of Voters Office will be closed Monday, February 15, 2021, due to parish government closure of the courthouse to ALL offices and due to threat of hazardous weather conditions.

This office will be closed Tuesday, February 16, 2021 for Mardi Gras (an official state holiday).

We will reopen Wednesday, February 17, weather permitting.

Lincoln Parish’s March 20, 2021 - Open Municipal/U.S. Representative, Congressional District 5 Primary Election

US Representative , Congressional District 5 -Parishwide

Law Enforcement District Proposition (Millage Renewal) -Parishwide

Mayor, Town of Dubach (eligible voters residing inside city limits of Dubach)

* The deadline to register to vote in person at the Registrar of Voters Office or through the Office of Motor Vehicles, or by mail, is Feb. 17.

* The deadline to register to vote through the GeauxVote Online Registration System is Feb. 27.

* Early voting is March 6-13 (excluding Sunday, March 7) from 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m.

* The deadline to request an absentee by mail ballot is March 16 by 4:30 p.m. You can request an absentee by mail ballot online through our Voter Portal or in writing through your Registrar of Voters Office (other than military and overseas voters).

The August 15, 2020 Municipal General Election will include the Lincoln Parish School District One-half of One Percent (1/2%) Sales Tax Proposition (parish-wide). Voters in Lincoln Parish Fire Protection District 1 will also vote on the Fire Protection District No. 1 Proposition (Service Charge Renewal). Please bring a current driver’s license or photo I.D. that has your signature.

To the extent possible, due to COVID-19, voting areas will be cleaned and disinfected. All early voting election officials will wear protective gear. Election officials will also work to implement and adhere to social distancing requirements.
