Today, the Ruston Fire Department was honored to host the National EMS Memorial Service Moving Honors procession as it travels from California to Virginia. This memorial recognizes EMS professionals who have lost their lives in the line of duty while serving their communities.

We are proud to help honor their service, sacrifice, and lasting legacy.

We proudly join the community in recognizing Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery and celebrates African American freedom and heritage.

While City offices will be closed on today, June 19, 2025, in observance of the holiday, the Ruston Fire Department will remain fully staffed and operational. Our commitment to the safety and well-being of the citizens of Ruston remains unchanged.

Check out these fire Citizens Academy graduates!

We could not be more proud of this incredible group for completing six weeks of fire education, hands-on training, and firsthand experience learning what it takes to serve as a firefighter. Throughout the academy, our citizens had the opportunity to step into our world, learn about fire service operations, and experience the dedication that comes with the job.
