Safe hunting habits start with education!

The Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office was proud to provide a Hunter Education class for youth in our area, helping the next generation learn the importance of safety, responsibility, and respect for the outdoors.

We’re thankful for these young people’s eagerness to learn, the families who made their participation possible, and the instructors who invested their time in our youth!

📣 Missed this year’s class? Keep an eye on our page for next year’s registration information. We’d love to have your young hunter join us!

Fall break gave our teachers a well-deserved breather last week, and this week we’re back at the grill! 🍔🔥

The Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office cooked up burgers and delivered them to teachers at Ruston Junior High and Glen View as a small way to say THANK YOU!

We’re grateful for the time, patience, and heart our teachers pour into students every day. Taking care of lunch is just one way we can show our appreciation for everything they do. 💙

A big thank you to A.E. Phillips Laboratory School for inviting the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office to spend some time with their kindergarten students!

We had a great time visiting with these young students, answering their questions, and sharing a few important safety tips. It’s always a rewarding experience to interact with our youngest community members and help them understand that deputies are here to help keep them safe.

We appreciate the teachers and staff at A.E. Phillips for the warm welcome and the opportunity to spend time with such a great group of kids!

Building relationships and promoting safety, one classroom at a time!
