Please consider joining us next Tuesday, May 5th, from 5-6 in University Hall Auditorium to hear Drs. Pallavi Rastogi and Madoka Kishi discuss their forthcoming edited collection, Asians on the Third Coast: Other Races, Other Cultures in Louisiana. Co-sponsored by the SLL and the US@250, this interdisciplinary event will explore the rich story of Asians and Asian Americans in our state as well as the challenges involved in narrating their lives. It is also being put on by a pair of speakers whom I can personally promise will educate and entertain—one co-directed my dissertation at LSU—so whether you are gassed or charged up after Shakespeare Day, the Poet Laureate, and the Hootenanny, this event should be a fun one.
